From "Sternline Telegraph" reports it sounds like everybody is having a wonderful time at Chattanooga aboard the DQ this weekend -- with one of the BIG surprises being the presentation of the Jim Burns Collection of memorabilia (over 1,000 items!) pertaining to the construction of the DELTA QUEEN and DELTA KING.

Read all about this magnanimous gift by clicking on 4/1/2011 - Delta Queen Given Photos, Artifacts From Riverboat's Early Days - Happenings - Chattanoogan.com

The news of such an important collection being saved is certainly music to the ears of this steamboat museum curator -- and we'll look forward to a FULL report soon from all the steamboat buffs and buffettes who were in attendance. And CONGRATULATIONS to Leah Ann and Randy as the recipients and caretakers of this fabulous archive. Like the DQ herself, the collection is in GOOD hands!

Keep up steam!
