Dear Mr. Speaker:
Please grant the exemption from the SOLAS act for the Delta Queen as over ruled by former Rep. Oberstar in 2008. The Delta Queen remains in top notch condition, even under steam 24/7.
All she needs is the exemption to get back on the road to cruising. It costs nothing from the feds, creates jobs and adds to the tax coffers. In short-a little stimulus with no costs. What could be better than that?
Thanks for your past support on this. A LOT of us who cruise on the DQ are counting on you and seek your help.
