Representative Mica
FYI, I'm trying to stay current with what's been in print as to press on the bids for the DELTA QUEEN. Obviously many do not do their homework first and have published some misinformation.
On the upside, I hope the Pittsburgh paper was correct in reporting that Representative Mica from Florida who may well take over as Transportation Chairman in the House has said he would support the exemption and help get it up for a vote. I personally called his office (many times before getting to speak to someone) before the election and asked specifically if he would support it. I never got a return call.
Of course we know Representative Chabot from Ohio will help in any way he can. Let's just hope and pray the "right" bidder is accepted.
