DELTA QUEEN Beetles
Hello Steamboaters....
On another website I started a conversation of old 1970's cars and the DQ Volkswagen Beetles came up. I know how the last Beetle ended it's days...the orange Super Beetle (it was accidentaly backed off the bow near Memphis and floated a few minutes before religating itself to the bottom of the Mighty Mississip'...with no loss of life, I might add). But, it has come to light the DQ had a white Beetle at one time. Does anyone remember the fate of that one? Didn't the Beetle invasion come after 1971. I don't remember seeing pictures of her carrying any car other than Mrs. Greene's car before the Beetles in 1971.
On another note...the MQ carried a 1976 Chevrolte Chevette Scooter (white in colour). Does anyone know the fate of that one...cause I don't think I ever heard.
