What's the problem? The problem is credit. Company owners and officers paying themselves unwarranted salaries with borrowed money is a large part of the problem. Continuing to overpay themselves (and their investors' dividends) with unearned profits - that is the problem. Using other peoples' money hoping to never repay it - that is the problem.
Now, where in the world did I get the notion that to bail out is to throw overboard? That is how foolish and knavish CEO's should be bailed out. Throw them overboard, I say!
