I just returned from an all to brief visit aboard the DELTA QUEEN - her last stop in Louisville before her down river trip the end of October. There were several "river friends" aboard that would have been so much fun to travel with, but there is never enough vacation time!

There is nothing to do this afternoon, but play John Hartford music and try to concentrate on the work on my desk.

One more plea, if you have not called your Senator DO IT NOW!!! Recess ends next week. Our Senators will be back in Washington - for a quick session before the election. We NEED them to be talking about all those CRAZY people back home concerned about one old steamboat!

I can smell the popcorn popping in the Texas right now........
