Several weeks ago Passenger Rail Today PAC hosted several lunches in Union Station aboard the PRR 120 and the Warrior Ridge to help raise money for several members of Congress and at the same time reinforce the message which the PAC expouses dealing with the need for a rational national transportaion policy which includes railroads. The PAC was asked to host an event for Rep Oberstar and declined to host the requested event specifically citing the issue of Oberstar trying to scuttle the Delta Queen. Nothing like denying these windbags some money to express how strongly one feels on issues that they think they can hold the public hostage to their warped logic.

Alright, our cause is getting some recognition, and MAYBE some leverage in congress.
