Annie Blum here. I know that this subject ws discussed several months ago, but I have recently heard a rumor that Truman Capote's father was related to a Streckfus or to one of the wives and that is the reason Truman had the middle name of Streckfus. We know that his father worked for Captain Vern in NOLA. Does anyone know anything about this rumor and has anyone even heard this? Could Arch Persons have just liked his employer so much that he gave his son the same name? Did he owe money to his employer?
