That was a Star that took off like a rocket and crashed like a falling star. The Star of Louisville was some how involved, but I'm not sure what role Dudley Webb played. The STAR OF LEXINGTON was a pretty neat sternwheeler. When I was at McBrides we blasted and tar set the hull and installed a bow thruster, then led the boat up Kentucky River clearing out the locks (which were closed at the time) as we went. I think we went up through lock 6.
