One more gone

One more riverman is gone. Capt. Frank Katz, a long time employee of B B Riverboats passed across his final bar on Wednesday 3-30-16. Capt. Frank and the M/V Mark Twain, often referred to as the "little Mark" were virtually one. That was his boat and he would tell you so. Capt. Frank was also a key player in the Cincinnati Power Squadron and the Propeller Club Port of Cincinnati. Capt. Frank was 89. Services on 4-1-16 are graveside.

*Passing of Capt. Frank Katz*
Bill, I'm shocked reading your above about Capt. Frank Katz. Remember Frank from years back around the river here, with you, aboard the DELTA QUEEN. Frank had a good long run at 89 and those of us who knew him can take comfort it that. Do we all go back many a year knowing Frank. He also a long time S&D member. Rest well Frank, we'll miss you.

When the Lord Almighty made Frank Katz He threw away the mold! A most interesting character indeed---seems to be fewer of them as time goes on. Frank Katz and Harry Louden in the Pilot House was a show of its own----couldn't be duplicated today.
