Default HSM "New & Improved" Festival Coming!

After over 20 years of the "Victorian Chautauqua" spring festival at the Howard Steamboat Museum, it was decided that it was time for a change. Last evening, at the monthly meeting of the board of directors, President Roger Fisher unveiled the poster containing the "new and improved" festival name. It will be the ART & ANTIQUE JUBILEE and will be held on MAY 24-25 (a week later than usual) which is Memorial Day weekend.

Another change this year is that, for the first time ever, there will be NO gate fee and NO charge for vendors, thanks to the generosity of a museum benefactor. There will be a nominal admission charge to tour the mansion and the HSM will sponsor it's usual "Victorian Café" and burger/hot dog booth. A Jazz ensemble will provide music at the pilothouse. The recently re-located HSM gift shop will be open and staffed both days by Judy Patsch, who annually makes the 400+ mile drive to volunteer at the festival. THANKS Judy! Many other dedicated volunteers will be "on deck" to make this event happen and we greatly appreciate each and every one of them!

Mark your calendars now and plan to join us. We look forward to seeing you!
