Default The passing of a steamboatin' celebrity

Ed Taylor, Cajun humorist and storyteller passed away this morning in Baton Rouge after a brief period of declining health. It was always a delight to welcome Ed and his lovely wife, Fran on board the Delta Queen, Mississippi Queen and American Queen for the Old Fashioned Holidays cruises as well as Cajun Culture trips. Ed's vast supply of Cajun stories and jokes, and his wonderfully droll sense of timing and delivery will be long remembered by his countless fans among passengers and crew. Rest in peace, good friend - merci pour tous les bons temps!

If you would like to send a card to Fran, please email me at and I will be happy to supply her contact information.
