2013 Inland Waterways Festival
Morning All,

Received a nice e-mail yesterday from the chair of the 2013 Inland Waterways Festival to be held in Marietta August 3rd and 4th. Thought I would get the word out so that folks could plan to attend. More details to follow I am sure but I do know that the pond below the river museum will once again be filled for running model boats. Hope to see some familiar faces there as it really was a nice time in 2011.

AJ: I surely hope to be there again with MISS BLUE. Miss Carol and brother John too. We sure had a good time last time and hope to see you again there. Cap'n Walnut.

Tom, that sounds like the start to a good bluegrass song!

Hey Tom,

I asked Dennis (Event Chair) to reach out to you about bringing one or both boats. I sure hope you Carol and John can make it. Having MISS BLUE there in 2011 really did add a great deal to the event. Hopefully they can get some other historic boats there to participate.

Hope to catch up with you soon!

AJ, I haven't received any emails yet from anyone concerned with the Festival. I did talk with Lee Ann at the S & D meeting and am planning to attend. Could you give me a contact for the Chair person? I think I have a solution for the leaky pond problem.

Aaron: Yes, Dennis contacted me. I mentioned that we enjoyed the event very much but were concerned about safety and rafting up to a steel hull. I was honored to be allowed to raft with the SNYDER, but ducking under her life line and the steel hull were not conducive to safe bording and happy rafting. We'll see and thanks for stirring them up!
