If memory serves me right, The Colonel was originally in Shreveport. It is/was docked right across from the sailing bark Elissa, where I spent many an hour learning the ropes, but never once ventured over to ride the Colonel. That was over 20 years ago, so the C must have found a good home, notwithstanding the occasional hurricane.
