Best wishes to ALL out there in "Steamboat Land" for a HAPPY THANKSGIVING holiday! And a special whistle salute of gratitude to Franz and Carmen for their ongoing generous sponsorship of this wonderful website, which permits steamboat enthusiasts from all over the world (who otherwise might never have met!) to share information and images. I am most thankful for the friendship of river friends, many from four decades past and others very new, thanks to this medium. Blessings upon you every one!

From the "decks" of the Howard Steamboat Museum, we are thankful for our many members and friends who support our mission to preserve and promote our steamboating heritage. Our board of directors and staff extend a hearty invitation to visit often and participate in the ever growing list of fun events here at "the BIG house" on the river! Miss Yvonne and I have now branched out into the 'catering business' and will be hosting a breakfast (our third this year!) for a tour group of 45 people on Saturday morning! Then it will be time to begin "decking the halls" for the holidays!

Don't forget our Christmas Open House on Sunday, December 11th from 1:00 until 4:00 PM.
