Paddlewheel dredging

I don't recall seeing a picture of the three boats in action, I am sure I took some pictures when we visited the boats. If I have any they have not seen the light of day for many many years. So the Best bet to find pictures is the History Division of the Oakland Museum, in Oakland Calif.

One interesting feature of one or more of these boats was a false keel that was laid up of solid timbers from the keel to the main deck. I don't remember hog chains but then I was not into river boats then like I am now.


The Missouri River stories came from books and articles I have read about travel on that River.
