Default Mary Woods No.2

The Mary Woods No.2, which was sunk by vandals on 1/31/10, has been sold and is in the process of being relocated from the Jacksonport Arkansas State Park. After being raised in June '10, all that remains is her hull and drivetrain. The new owner's original plans were to restore the wooden cabin and operate a restaurant on the top deck. Apparently those plans are uncertain now, but they do plan to move it to an oxbow lake near Jacksonport.

Here is a slide show of the ill-prepared attempt to move the hull with just 2 pleasure boats and 2 jet skis. They didn't have enough horse-power to go upstream, and had to shove-in below the boat's former landing:

The towboat was originally steam powered, built in 1931 and converted to diesel in 1949.
