Default One more thought

on entertainment. It's already been mentioned that it shouldn't be the glitzy Caribbean cruise kind. Keep it high quality but familiar - dixieland, blues, ragtime and banjo and yes, even corny sometimes. Make sure there's someone who can do "Proud Mary" and "Old Man River" (that's a tough order right there) and plan on having a piano player in the Texas Lounge during the evening. The late, unlamented Majestic America Line reduced their entertainment staff and did away with the piano player up there. That "savings" resulted in lots of lost $$$ when it came time to add up the bar bills.
Looking forward to receiving the brochure and seeing many old friends, both passengers and crew members, on the American Queen next year.
