Just two weeks till the S & D annual meeting at Marietta, Ohio. This one promises to be one of the best in recent years. Things get started on Friday evening, the 15th. with the reception at 8 p.m. with all kinds of items on display, John Fryant is to present a slide show on the Str. Saint Genevieve and a guest appearance by a historic figure. Who I don't even know.

Saturday the annual meeting is at 9:30 a.m. and then on to an "old time" picnic" outdoors at the River Musuem, just like the old days at the Boat Club. Lots better than a stuffy hotel room !! Then a steam calliope concert and steam whistles galore. The M/V J.S. Lewis will be open and on display.

Saturday nights dinner speaker is none other than Capt. Clark C. "Doc" Hawley and it just doesn't get better than that !!

Still time to make reservations. You don't have to be a S & D member to attend. Just " come on down".
