Belle of Louisville / high water.
It is currently 16:20 (CST) and I've been sitting at the topside of Six Mile island on the Ohio river at Louisville since about seven this morning. We took fuel and have been waiting for tug service. The tug we are waiting on to work us, the William Jeffrey Bayer, is currently working with the ACL boat, James W. Buky, to move the drydock holding the Belle of Louisville from Jeffboat, upriver to the backside of Six Mile island.
Unfortunately, due to my position at the topside of the island, I can't see the progress, but they've been working on moving the drydock for the past six hours and are still at Jeffboat. I don't know if it's the current and drift that are the problem, or if the Jeffboat dock where the drydock is tied off is underwater. Either way, the drydock/Belle will be on the backside of Six Mile island (OHR 597.5) soon, if all goes well.
Just thought I would give an update if anyone is interested.
