Default Remembering where you "started"

It had just occured to me earlier today that it was 30 years ago last month (July 1979) that I 1st set foot on the Delta Queen! Grandpa Zahn & I did a 7 night Cincinnati to St Louis trip via Kentucky Lake...yes I'm a newbie!!!! Having chatted with Mom & Dad...it was 28 years for them last month as well...their 1st DQ trip...was my 2nd! Even greener newbies!!! ;+)

Having seen Frank Prudent, Vic Canfield, Barb Hammeister, The Weises, the Beuls, Ruth Guenther, Doctor Flick and the rest of the MOR on the Badger, we did chat a little about our DQ experiences...and after returning to my residence for the evening before heading on part 2 of my summer vacation I found a great cassette tape courtesy of Dan Forman (who is doing great these days having chatted with him last night on the phone) which I assume is around the summer 1984 time frame.

As my 93 Buick still has a working cassette player in it....the tape was mostly of Dan's music from the Captain's dinner on a trip my family & I were all on! I had played the tape to my parents while driving this noon out to Burlington & back and upon hearing voices in the background...my parents' & Grandpa Zahn's good pal Harold DeMarrero was captain...& Vic Tooker was still interlocutor...what an "artist" he was!
My grandpa, parents, sister & I were @ the Captain's table...along with Terry Severns...and after dinner for the beginning of the Captain's dinner program Vic had called up 4 ladies...Mom was one of them...to sing: "If you wore a tulip and I wore a big red rose!" What a time! We had a good laugh hearing that again!~

What memories!

Anyways...after sharing stories on the Badger I thought I'd share here as well! So forgive me...
