6AM Wednesday I'll be winging my way south to get a steamboat fix for 5 days. Usually I bring a cold front into town, but this time the NOLA forecast is for mid to high 90s all week. Looks like baking time on the roof of the NATCHEZ, and I don't mean cookies! As last time, I'm not taking my laptop, so I'll send any news via a Live from the Levee report to Keith. At this point, they have 3 trips scheduled each day Thursday through Sunday, which is a good sign. They do cancel a trip if there is little advance sale, but at least its good that they think they have a chance to do good thrice daily. So from the land of the locks and dams to the free flowing high waters of the New Orleans harbor, home of one of the only two steamboats operating on the Mississippi system this year...
