Greetings from New Orleans!
As usual, the temperature dropped about 15 degrees when I arrived, and people are dressed like its winter. Its about 60, and considering it was 27 at home this morning, I'm not complaining. My 'gangplank boarding pass' is cooling off, after a quick bike ride to the old A&P for some eggs. The NATCHEZ has a 2:30 today, so I'll be heading there soon. Hurricane Gustav did absolutely nothing to my apartment, other than throw off the ac timers by the 11 hours the power was out. Live from the levee later....
