Hello everyone,

I am new to the boards but a huge steamboat enthusiast. I was just wondering why the American Queen rarely makes it to it's final destination on the upper Mississippi? It just seems that in recent years the steamboat fans here in the Twin Cities have gotten snubbed. I know a few weeks back she had the "z" drive issue. Looking at the lack of preperation by the city of St. Paul it looks to me like she will once again stop her northbound journey at Red Wing today.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
