High Water In July ??????
Greetings From New Orleans ,
To say the least its been somwhat of an unusual year in many different respects and Eleven point Six feet ( 11.6 ) on the New Orleans , Carrolton River gage is at this time of year , just one of them . Normally , this time of year in New Orleans , we would have maybe two to three feet ( 2 to 3 ) and thanks to all the rain coming down from the mid west we are about Eight ( 8 ) over that norm . Also , I dare say that in all liklyhood it would have been even higher had a number of levees not broken along the Iowa and Missouri shore line . No telling what the rest of the year will be like also in many different respects but like many down here who have to work and deal with this high river condition , we're ready for a break and some lover river .
