Here are three of the many photos I took of the Delta Queen while locking through Cheatham Lock (Cumberland River, Middle Tennessee) on the evening of May 19, 2008. The DQ was enroute to Nashville from Pittsburgh, and the locking process took about 35 minutes.

The first picture shows the DQ queued up and ready to enter the lock from the lower (Barkley) pool. The second picture shows the DQ just after she was elevated to the Cheatham pool level. The third picture shows the DQ steaming away from the lock and into Cheatham Lake under a full moon (if you look very closely, you can see the smoke billowing from her stack).
