I'm curious to what Marine VHF radio channels are used to communicate between the various boats, between a boat and the lockmaster, between a boat and a lift/swing bridge, between a boat and a refueling depot...and is it dependant on which river/area the boat is at on which channels are used? And, is there anything special required to notify the proper authorities that a boat is entering the river downbound at Baton Rouge?
