Yes, when the organizers asked me to try to get some out of town river people to attend, I pointed out that February in the Midwest is not a good time to commit to traveling... hey, its warmed up to 3 here today and we've only got 10 inches of snow on the ground. Of course, after the melting and a quick freeze, our sidestreets are now skating rinks. It doesn't help my attitude that when I left NOLA last week it was 70... and when Doc called Friday to see about my trip home, he had to point out how beautiful it still was in the Crescent City! We've got 10 days to melt some snow and get those temps up. Heck we might even hit 20 by then - and we know Doc's presence will warm things up!
