MAL announces fuel surcharge--can they do this?
Hi all,
I just got an email from Phyllis Dale with this URL to a Majestic America Line notice.
http://www.majesticamericaline.com/cms/Files/Fuel Surcharge.pdf
I have not received anything directly from MAL, although we have reservations for 2008, with deposits paid. I would think the reservations are a contract for services to be delivered, and would lock Majestic America Line into providing what was advertised at the costs advertised--or if they can do this, that they would have to notifiy every reservation holder and give them a proper period of time to respond?
Not being a lawyer, and NOT playing one on the radio (heh heh heh), I don't know--opinions everyone??
IMHO, we're already paying premium prices for the privilage of being onboard our favorite boat--AKA, our second "home" and if they can do this, what is to keep them from adding on another surcharge later??
