I just thought I would drop a line so there would be no rumors. I am taking the Magnolia Belle back home to New Orleans the beginning of December. I have a few charters over the winter already and much work to do when I get home. So, if you see us rolling by, feel free to come over say "hello". Once we depart Henderson there won't be much stopping, but I am planning on stopping in Memphis for a couple of days. I will keep things updated the best I can.
On another note to dispel a few rumors about the boat I have been hearing. One there is nothing wrong with the boat. I having been working a lot and have been doing what I can when I can as I get time. With no business in New Orleans and the city still recovering, I left the boat up on the Ohio because expenses are cheaper. Even the lower expenses on the Ohio have made things financial tight for me. I have had to pay everything out of my own pocket to keep the boat where it is. Now that New Orleans is getting better it makes sense for me to get the boat back to New Orleans and return to cruising the Miss and the Lake. I did look at other ports to run but never had the time or the capital to change. It was cheaper to let it sit.
Now about the rumor of the boat being for sale, at the time this rumor was going the boat was not for sale. However, when I return to New Orleans and get some different projects done I will entertain offers. Even with that I will still run the boat for private charter in the New Orleans area. I am hoping that everything will work out and be successful. I can’t wait to start cruising again in New Orleans.
Thank You,
Capt. Joe Baer
