Default Archgrounds to be used in STL Riverfront improvement?

OPINION ALERT!

Talk of fixing the St. Louis riverfront has finally taken a turn for the better. They're proposing the unthinkable... the St. Louis region having a say in the Archgrounds, and actually using some of it to make a difference in the improvement of the St. Louis riverfront. I've wished for this for a long time, but conceded that it would never happen. I guess we'll see how strong our Congressional contingent is in winning land away from the National Park Empire. Read the St. Louis Post Dispatch article here. And, make your comments known here. Now, all they need is to expand on the plans for the riverfront. And, there better not be any floating islands!

Missouri's US Senator Claire McCaskill is voicing support for this project. Maybe if she is interested in riverfront renovation, she'll be interested in saving a national historic landmark steamboat...

No humans or animals were harmed in the formation of the previous OPINION.
