I'm going to stir up a hornet's nest, I guess. I hear through the sternline telegraph that Majestic America Line intends to voluntarily allow the DELTA QUEEN's Certificate of Inspection expire and does not intend to operate the boat next year. Let me say that I heard this information third-hand; both of the people not being past or present company employees, but somewhat knowlegable people. Has anyone else heard this, or can anyone confirm or deny the report?

The second part of this is: Does anyone know if there has been a bill introduced (or if anyone plans to introduce) a bill/resolution to exempt the DQ from SOLAS before the current exemption expires? Should we be working on this?
