[B]What is the latest news of THE GOLDENROD. I have been off the Steamboats.org for a while – since January 2005 to be exact. Did I read that correct - that the Goldenrod is now being towed to Madison, Indiana? To be a Bed and Breakfast? I had great hopes for her (The Goldenrod) after Lewis and Clark Landing purchased her. My memories go back to 1977 when she was a showboat downtown Saint Louis. The melodramas were so much fun - I still have my playbills from each one I saw. The history from that showboat was unreal. It was sad that she was vandalized and a lot of her memorabilia was destroyed. I enjoyed seeing the photos of her today. Will she be leaving Alton area soon - or has she left??
