Shore Tour History
Just a quick question...Deb and I are talking about what the DQ must have been like in the past, entertainment wise.
When were shore tours first offered on the boats? I do not remember shore tours being mentioned in the old company brochures I've looked at and I honestly don't remember them even being offered on our 2000 MQ cruise, probably due to a senior moment. We took our first shore tour during our 2001 cruise. And, the very best first shore tour it was, in my opinion...Shiloh...
And if tours were offered say 30 years ago, what kind of dollars was the company asking for these tours, per person?
And before shore tours were offered, was the passenger expected to self-entertain themselves at the rivertowns? I would suspect that this led to a lot of passengers missing the boat, so to speak?
