I second that!

Also, David- you can always get a job aboard the DQ as a bartender. Physically hard work carrying hot dog trays upstairs and liquor cases into the the bottom of the boat and everywhere else. But the key ingredient for bartenders is salemanship- the ability to talk to others and make tasty drinks.

I have said it often- my job on the boats was the best job and the worst job of my life. I had a great time but the pay was terrible, the politics could be worse, there is no sleep for the weary--- but the river is terrific and the boat herself is enchanting. The friendships made are priceless.
