Hi, Matt & steamboating colleagues:
*A 1,000 apologies. Something went PFFT! here while typing the above message. This happens from time to time. I continue the message here.

...CARNIVAL CEO Mickey Arison praised the WINDSTAR product but said it did not fit the company's future growth strategy. The sale is to close in the 2nd quarter of 2007. Meanwhile, AMBASSADORS CRUISE GROUP is moving beyond its core product of MAJESTIC AMERICA LINE-branded river cruises. "It's a different market," said AMBASSADORS President/CEO Joe Uberoth, "but we still think it's exactly where we want to be, in the middle of the luxury cruising market." Refurbishment of the WINDSTAR fleet began last November.

Not "pure steamboats," but NCL Corp. reported a $116 million 4th quarter loss. NCL, as you all recall, assumed the cruise ships for completion from former AMVC operations of late, great fame. Lower on-board revenues across the fleet from concessionaires and downward pricing pressures in the Hawaii market and occupancy levels. Other than the above I don't know a thing.

Cheers,
R. Dale Flick
