The Bellevue State Park (Nelson Unit) is located atop a 300-foot limestone bluff. You get a breathtaking view over the Mississippi River and Lock and Dam No. 12 at Bellevue. Great photo opportunity. Do not miss the South Bluff Nature Center including the “Garden Sanctuary for Butterflies”.

Lock and Dam No. 12

Lock and Dam No. 12 is directly located in Bellevue. From the public riverfront park (including swing benches, directly located on Main St = Hwy 52) you can watch the locking procedure.
