We have a Hohmann & Maurer Oil Temperature Gauge. While researching the item, the only information found indicated H&M was founded in 1885 and sold to Taylor Brothers in 1907 and that Power Specialty Co. was created in the 1900's merged to become Foster Wheeler in 1927. Someone told us this instrument may have been used on a Steam Ship. The intrument appears to be brass with a decorative H&M logo cast at the top. It has been stored in a wooden crate with wood shavings for many yeas....
