German river steamers

Regarding the question of wooden superstructures on European steamers: There are 9 (nine!) excursion sidewheel steamers regularly running out of the German city of Dresden on the Elbe river, roughly between Meissen and the Czech border (sometimes into that republic). The oldest "Stadt Wehlen" was launched 1879, one called "Diesbach", built in 1884, is still coal-fired - the others have been converted to oil. I have personally observed that some parts of their superstructures...
