Rep. James Oberstar obviously has deleted 9 negative comments that had been posted in response to his speech in the House of Representatives on April 24, 2008 on YouTube (see video below). Just in case Mr. Oberstar decides to even delete the whole video, you'll find another copy of the video on YouTube.

Rep. James Oberstar (D) has deleted all comments, mainly negative ones, from a Youtube video featuring his speech in the House about the reasons why he is refusing an exemption for the steamboat Delta Queen. The video originally had been posted on April 24, 2008. All comments disappeared on June 3.

Delta Queen supporters say, "while he can betray his constituents and while he can be untruthful to his fellow Representatives in the House, he must not delete comments on a video he posted...

Delta Queen exemption failed

Today the Coast Guard Reauthorization Bill came on the floor for a vote. As a last ditch effort by Rep. Steve Chabot made a motion to recommit to add the amendment to the bill #2830 while it was on the floor. Unfortunately the vote was lost 195 to 208 votes against the Delta Queen exemption.
