Joe Biden missing on the list of co-sponsors

According to the Marietta Register Online, Joe Biden said in a speach yesterday at Marietta: “And folks, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention one thing; Barack Obama reminded me to remind you of. He’s also working to save the Delta Queen. The job security that it generates. That steamboat brings a lot of money here.”
Well said. But what I've recognized: While Barack Obama is co-sponsoring bill S. 3498 to save the Delta Queen, Delaware Senator Joe Biden is not on the list of co-sponsors for that...

Delta Queen's Crew Plea to Congress

The crew of the steamboat Delta Queen has produced a video asking Congress to save this National Historic Landmark -- and their jobs. The video is online at Youtube and the DQ's crew is asking everyone to watch the video there, vote for it, leave a comment and forward it to others.

Pennsylvania declares Oct 4 the "Delta Queen Day"

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives yesterday has declared October 4, 2008, as "Delta Queen Day" in Pennsylvania to "honor this unique and quintessentially American treasure". This House Resolution also recognizes the historic and business value of the Delta Queen for Pennsylvania communities along the rivers.

At the same time Senators from Pennsylvania, Arlen Specter and Robert P. Casey, jr., still haven't joined the long list of co-sponsors for the bill S. 3498 in the US Senate...

Sen. George Voinovich introduces bill to save the Delta Queen

On September 16, Sen. George Voinovich has introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate (bill no. S. 3498) to save the Delta Queen by excempting her from 1966 Safety at Seat Law. Support comes from at least seven other Senators, both Republicans and Democrats, giving the Delta Queen a new chance for a bipartisan vote in favor of this unique historic steamboat.
