Rep. Oberstar deleted negative comments on Youtube
Rep. James Oberstar (D) has deleted all comments, mainly negative ones, from a Youtube video featuring his speech in the House about the reasons why he is refusing an exemption for the steamboat Delta Queen. The video originally had been posted on April 24, 2008. All comments disappeared on June 3.
Delta Queen supporters say, "while he can betray his constituents and while he can be untruthful to his fellow Representatives in the House, he must not delete comments on a video he posted himself on a public video sharing platform like Youtube. Either be on the Internet and accept its rules, or don't be there at all."
The steamboater community is now posting their comments on a blog at steamboats.org, saying they'll use the voting feature of Youtube to tell Rep. Oberstar what they think about the video and the deletion of the comments by voting the video down.
