American Queen, Empress of the North cruises cancelled

Majestic America Line obviously has cancelled all cruises of the American Queen departing after November 8, 2008, and for the Empress of the North cruises departing after August 2, 2008. Passengers are reporting that their travel agents did inform them about this fact this morning.

Update: Majestic America Line has confirmed the cancellation of the cruises, offering their passengers a full refund or rebooking with a 50% discount. A press release from the cruise line says "soft advance bookings" are making the cancellations necessary.
