Delta Queen and Anderson Ferry Boone No. 7

As we were chasing the Delta Queen today after she left Cincinnati we were waiting for her at the Anderson Ferry just a few miles downriver from Cincinnati. I'm sure most of you are familiar with Anderson Ferry as they operate another National Historic Landmark, the BOONE NO. 7 paddlewheel ferry from 1935.
Here is a shot of the BOONE NO. 7 with the Delta Queen coming up.
I'll post more pictures of the BOONE soon, but for now enjoy this picture - the old ferry boat is freshly painted and looks just wonderful.

Great photo Franz! Several years ago I bought a very tiny model of the BOONE NO. 7 on EBAY. Made of cardboard, but greatly detailed, its case is a clear covered plastic butter dish!
I'm sure you, Carmen and Leonie are "covering the waterfronts" and making every moment count. Great to see y'all last week at the museum and I hope you have a wonderful cruise on the beautiful Upper Mississippi River! Keep up steam! |
