The Big Boat, the Small Boat and the Pelican

Just back from a wonderful 2-day cruise on the Twilight from LeClaire to Dubuque and back I'd just like to share two pictures with you: One shows the mighty American Queen with the tiny riverboat Twilight on front of her at the riverfront of Dubuque, IA, this morning when the AQ came in early (was scheduled for noon, arrived probably at 7 am or earlier). It took her quite a while to dock as the Twilight and the Celebration Belle both were there not leaving much space for the AQ.
And then there is this picture if the Pelican catching a fish I made on the way up the river - totally unrelated to the other picture, but I enjoyed these Pelicans so much I thought you'd share this with you.

What great snapshots from a fantastic two day gathering of riverboat friends on the Upper Mississippi! Jo Ann Schoen has posted on the message board, asking for a report on the River Rat Ramblers cruise on the TWILIGHT. As Judy was the moving force behind this notable gathering, I'll let her do the honors. Suffice it to say, it was two days that will long be remembered by all who were there. Thanks Franz, for sharing a little peek of what transpired!
