In their quarterly financial report Ambassadors today is mentioning, in conjunction with the DQ issue, that "the asset [i.e. the Delta Queen] was recoverable and no impairment charge was required as of June 30, 2007." That to me means that they're expecting to get a reasonable amount of money for her when selling her. A question comes to my mind, reading this: How can they be so sure about this? Do they probably even have a buyer? Do they already know what to do with her after 2008? Or is this statement just a CFO's or laywer's trick to keep the shareholders under control?
