Hello everyone,
I have put together some pics of this years steamboat visits to Point Pleasant, WV.
The first boat in was the Delta Queen as she made several stops here at Point, and then about a week ago, the Mississippi Queen made two stops.

While on the wing bridge of the DQ, I took a photo of the "Dirk Taylor". A towboat I grew up one, the first boat I had ever been aboard, and steered. There has been many times I have been aboard this boat taking pictures of the Delta Queen. Oh... how the tables have turned! :D

Captain Schultz was nice enough to let me come up into the pilothouse of the DQ. This was the first time I had ever been in the wheelhouse of a real steamboat! Thanks Captain Schultz! :)

We had a long talk about being a river pilot, and Captain Schultz gave me alot of advice on reaching my goal. "Picture of him checking the rudders and steam engines"

Thanks again for letting me aboard the DQ Mary! It was great to see everything from the steam engines, and calliope to the wheelhouse!
