Well, to be fair, this is what the web site actually says:

"Alegria and her twin sister ship Valencia are brand-new ships that were built in 2001 and never sailed due to the cruise line canceling the order after 9/11. One ship actually did make a single trip up the eastern coast of the US but returned and was docked ever since. Both ships are now undergoing renovation and updating for our use and some of the photos below reveal the refurbishment. Completion is expected this Spring. "
